You feelin’ an epic weekend of mountain biking and getting out of the city for some fun? If so, gather your crew and head to Reveille Peak Ranch for the Life Time Austin Rattler MTB . Smack dab in the middle of Texas Hill Country…think sparkling lakes and rolling hills…you can choose from either 20, 40, or 60-mile distances of gripping singletrack and challenging fire roads. Use the race to snag some bragging rights and maybe even a ticket to the mythic Life Time Leadville Trail 100 MTB presented by Kenetik.
And after you cross that finishing line, jump into a Texas-style endurance celebration with live music, tasty brews, camping, kid’s races, and tasty BBQ. Make it a perfect weekend in the outdoors with your posse.

Minimum Age to Participate – riders and runners must be the following age on RACE DAY in order to register:
- 20-Mile Ride: 12
- 40-Mile Ride: 14
- 60-Mile Ride: 16
Our 20M loop features a mix of terrain that challenges riders while allowing for ease of passing and minimal choke points. The course will be clearly marked with ORANGE SIGNS w BLACK ARROWS and ORANGE FLAGGING.
- 60-Mile riders will do 3 loops
- 40-Mile riders will do 2 loops
- 20-Mile riders will do 1 loop

Aid Stations
The Aid Station is located every 10 miles, and it placed just passed the start/finish line where bag drop off is.
- For our 20-mile bike, you will need to bring any nutrition with you, as you will not access the aid station.
- for our 40-mile bike, you will pass through once.
- For our 60-mile bike, you will pass through twice.
At the aid station, you will find GU Energy Roctane Hydration / Water, GU Energy gels and stroopwaffles, Bobo’s PB&J & Fig Bar, Chips & Candy.
And at the Finish Line, you’ll find Mighty Spark Chicken Sticks, Pretzels, Hoist Hydration, and Splendor Water!

- Note – We encourage you to show up early as there can be significant traffic the hour before race starts, give yourself time to get parked and ready for the event!
Placement in Corrals
Each participant’s start corrals will be indicated on their laminated handlebar number provided at bib pickup. You may not enter start corrals with a lower number, however, you may enter a start corral with a higher number. Loading in assigned gates is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please show up early to load into your gate for best placement and to ensure you will get in your gate.
No Ghost Bikes Allowed at the Start Line, period.
Corrals at the Austin Rattler are self-seeded, with riders selecting their start position based on your individual assessment.
During registration, you can select your placement:
Corral 1: Racers
You’re looking to go hard and push yourself to the max!
This should be riders that have achieved a top 100 position in the Austin Rattler in the past 3 years.
Corral 2: Cruisers
You’re an experienced rider, but not necessarily gunning for a spot on the podium.
This should be riders that have achieved a top 101-200 position the Austin Rattler in the past 3 years.
Corral 3: Adventure
Fun is the name of your game! It’s all about completing the race and having a great day on the trails.
This should be riders that have either never raced the Austin Rattler or have been 200+ overall in the past 3 years.

There will be a dedicated neutral bag drop area at the start/finish aid station. You can place supplies at this location and access them as you pass through to start your next lap. All supplies must be in a bag. Please bring your own bag and keep it tidy.
- 1:00pm – Final Lap Cutoff – all mtb riders must start their final lap by 1:00pm
- 4:00pm – Full Course Cutoff – all mtb riders must finish the 60mile course by 4:00pm to qualify for the Life Time Leadville Trail 100 MTB presented by Kinetik
- You must complete the 60mi race in eight hours or less to qualify for the Leadville Trail 100 MTB. Our desire is to see everyone finish, and we will support you the best we can. However, if we do need to remove someone for missing the cutoff, the decision of the race official is final.
- Any athletes that change distances mid-race are not eligible for awards. For example if you start the 60mile MTB, but ultimately only ride 40miles, we will give you a time but you will not be scored with the event and will not be eligible for awards.
- Need to change distances before the event? Please see the registration crew at packet pickup to switch the day prior to the race. Please know we are unable to provide a refund for the difference in price.

The Austin Rattler is a qualifier event for the Life Time Leadville Trail 100 Run presented by La Sportiva and the Life Time Leadville Trail 100 MTB presented by Kenetik.
There are a minimum of 35 LT100 qualifier coins up for grabs at each of the Austin Rattler events, RUN & MTB. Qualifier coins will only be given to athletes who finish the 60m MTB and the 50k RUN. Coin winners MUST BE PRESENT at the awards ceremony to receive their entry. Coin winners must complete and pay for their registration for the Leadville Trail 100 Run or Bike during the designated time offered. All registration fees for the LT100 Run and Bike are non-transferable and nonrefundable.
The 35+ coins at each event will be distributed based on overall and age group performance, as well as an event lottery at the end of the awards ceremony. The performance based coins will be distributed to the top overall performances, as well as the top performances of each age category. If an athlete elects to not accept their slot, the coin will “roll down” to the next top athlete in their category. In the event that slots are not claimed after the roll down, they will be reallocated to the event lottery. The event lottery is available to all official finishers. Names will be drawn from all eligible and interested athletes to distribute these coins until none remain.
Saturday – 1:30pm – 20M and 40M Awards
Awards will be given to the top 5 Males / top 5 Females overall.
