All runners and riders attempting the third lap must be through the start/finish.

Athletes must finish by this time to be eligible for the LT100 lottery. Please hold onto your lottery tickets until affter the awards. We will make an announcement to come put your ticket in the drawing.
RUN and MTB lottery will be held separately. Winners must be present to claim their spot.

Reveille Peak Ranch is open for riding and running from now until race day
$15 fee for anyone pre-riding/running – payable at the gate check-in
Our 20M loop features a mix of terrain that challenges riders while allowing for ease of passing and minimal choke points. The course will be clearly marked with ORANGE SIGNS w BLACK ARROWS and ORANGE FLAGGING. See here for photos of signage for reference.
- 60-Mile riders will do 3 loops
- 40-Mile riders will do 2 loops
- 20-Mile riders will do 1 loop

Our 10-mile features a mix of terrain that challenges runners while offering scenic views of the Texas Hill Country. 60% single track / 40% jeep roads. The course will be clearly marked with PINK SIGNS w/BLACK ARROWS and PINK FLAGGING. See here for photos of signage for reference.

Aid Stations
The Aid Station is located every 10 miles for the Run, and every 20 miles for the bike. It is located just passed the start/finish line where bag drop off is.
- For our 10-mile run / 20-mile bike, you will need to bring any nutrition with you, as you will not access the aid station.
- for our 20-mile run / 40-mile bike, you will pass through once.
- For our 50K run / 60-mile bike, you will pass through twice.
At the aid station, you will find GU Energy Roctane Hydration / Water, GU Energy gels and stroopwaffles, and Bobo’s PB&J & Fig Bar.
And at the Finish Line, you’ll find Mighty Spark Chicken Sticks, Pretzelized Pretzels, Hoist Hydration, and Splendor Water! You’ll also find some other tastey snacks!
Cutoff Times
- You must complete the 60mi MTB or the 50K RUN by 4:00pm to qualify for the Leadville Trail 100 MTB or Run, respectively.
- If you do not begin your 3rd lap by 1:30pm, you will be held back DNF’d
- Our desire is to see everyone finish, and we will support you the best we can. However, if we do need to remove someone for missing the cutoff, the decision of the race official is final.
- Athlete who begin their race but do not believe they can finish may drop down to the next shorter distance.
- Please note: you will not be eligible for awards if you drop down to a shorter distance once the race has begun.
Please note: Due to safety restrictions on the course wheelchair participation is not permitted.
There will be a dedicated neutral bag drop area at the start/finish aid station utilized by both the MTB and the RUN.
YOU WILL NEED TO SUPPLY YOUR OWN DROP BAG. Be sure to mark your drop bag with your name and plate/bib number for easier identification.
- For our 10-mile run / 20-mile bike, you will need to bring any nutrition with you, as you will not pass the drop bag location.
- For our 20-mile run / 40-mile bike, you will pass through bag drop once.
- For our 50K run / 60-mile bike, you will pass through bag drop twice.
You can place supplies at this location and access them as you pass through to start your next lap. All supplies must be in a bag. Please bring your own bag and keep it tidy.

It will cost $15 to park at RPR on Friday packet pickup, or if you decide to come pre-ride/run ahead of race weekend. On Saturday (Race Day), you will not have to pay the fee to park.
- 5:30 a.m. – Parking opens
- No overnight parking
- Note – We encourage you to show up early as there can be significant traffic the hour before race starts, give yourself time to get parked and ready for the event!
Important Information & Rules
The Burnet, Texas community is excited to welcome the participants of the Austin Rattler! Your spirit and dedication to biking and running inspires our entire community.
- Leave no trace – No garbage, clothing etc., shall be thrown on the course!
- No Pedal Assist/E-Bikes allowed
- Helmets must be worn when on the bike, and your chin strap must be buckled
- Support Vehicles/Outside Assistance – You may not accept assistance outside of aid stations or approved spectator areas
- DNFs must be reported to timing
- No Pets on course
- Music is highly discouraged, although if you must listen to tunes, we will only allow bone conducting music, no earbuds/headphones in the ear. You must be able to hear the environment around you and any additional safety or course instructions!
- Timing chip (on bike number plate) must be attached to the front of the bike. DO NOT wrap your bike plate or your chip will not read.

Support Crews & Spectators
*IMPORTANT*
Everyone except racers entering Reveille Peak Ranch must have a printed and signed waiver each day. Things are a little, shall we say, “old school” at the Ranch and pen and paper waivers are a must. Please print off your waiver and come prepared with a signed waiver for each day you plan to enter the property. No exceptions.
Note: waivers are required for everyone (minus racers) entering the property – participants, spectators, sponsors, family, including kids (under 18, parent/guardian must sign).

- Crew will be allowed to set up and assist their riders/runners at the lake near the start/finish. (please see the PURPLE area in the venue map below.
- No crew assistance within the barricaded start/finish area where drop bags are located
- No crewing is allowed on course, no exceptions.

The 2025 Austin Rattler is a qualifier event for the 2026 Life Time Leadville Trail 100 Run presented by La Sportiva and the 2026 Life Time Leadville Trail 100 MTB presented by Kenetik.
There are a minimum of 35 LT100 qualifier coins up for grabs at each of the Austin Rattler events, RUN & MTB. Qualifier coins will only be given to athletes who finish the 60M MTB and the 50k RUN. Coin winners MUST BE PRESENT at the awards ceremony to receive their entry. Coin winners must complete and pay for their registration for the Leadville Trail 100 Run or Bike during the designated time offered. All registration fees for the LT100 Run and Bike are non-transferable and nonrefundable.
The 35+ coins at each event will be distributed based on overall and age group performance, as well as an event lottery at the end of the awards ceremony. The performance based coins will be distributed to the top overall performances, as well as the top performances of each age category.
If an athlete elects to not accept their slot, the coin will “roll down” to the next top athlete in their category. In the event that slots are not claimed after the roll down, they will be reallocated to the event lottery. Additionaly, any coins not accepted by our overall winners will go directly into the lottery and will not roll down.
The event lottery is available to all official finishers. Names will be drawn from all eligible and interested athletes to distribute these coins until none remain.
Below is a simple breakdown of coin distribution:
- Male Overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd – 1 coin each (3 total)
- Female Overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd – 1 coin each (3 total)
- All remaining categorys – 1 coin per group or division
- All leftover coins will go to the lottery
- There will be at least 10 to begin with, plus any that are not accepted during awards.
Pro Tips for racing the Life Time Austin Rattler:
- Sealant sealant sealant
- Goat heads, thorns, prickly stuff that can slash a tire
- Bring water!
- Water monsters will be available for you to refill, but it can have a taste despite being perfectly safe to drink. NO POTABLE WATER ONSITE OTHERWISE.
- Prepare for both sun and rain
- Headlamp for early morning
- Spectators, consider bringing:
- Chairs
- Snacks
- Canopies
- Stuff to be comfortable
- it’s a full day in the outdoors, come prepared!
